A Career Dedicated to Kentucky's Kids and Families
Sarah Cole McIntosh is a lifelong Louisvillian, former member of the Jefferson County Board of Education, and former U.S. History teacher in Louisville’s public schools.
In her time on the Jefferson County School Board, Sarah was proud to fight to send more resources directly into teachers’ classrooms, ensure teachers’ voices are heard in evaluating JCPS leadership, and voted against increasing Louisville property taxes. Sarah introduced the motion to reopen Jefferson County schools after COVID so our students could get back to the classroom.
With 16 years of teaching experience in our classrooms, Sarah has spent much of her career helping our students succeed. And she knows exactly what the General Assembly should be doing to help support Kentucky’s kids, families, and communities. Now, at a time when costs are rising and more and more families are struggling to make ends meet, Sarah is running for State Senate to bring common sense to Frankfort.
Sarah and her husband Rusty are raising their two daughters Ella (15) and Scarlett (10) in Middletown.
